I’ve spent much of my career in tech, primarily in higher ed at institutions such as MIT, UCSC and the U of Arizona, where I obtained my undergraduate degree in MIS/Business Administration (BS). Currently, I am a system administrator at the University of Minnesota within the Health Sciences Infrastructure and Application Hosting group. I primarily manage linux machines, web development environments, and automation pipelines.

I’m also the founder, chief developer, and primary author of the Yin Yang House - which is one of the largest and most comprehensive Chinese Medicine informational sites in the world, used by students and practitioners from many countries. I have a Masters degree in acupuncture (M.Ac.) from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and ran a large acupuncture and wellness practice for two decades. On the medicine side, I continue to consult, write and advocate.
